Today I want to share with you the lyrics of a song I wrote about someone who should leave for fighting a war. Inspiration by
Hunter Army Airfield demonstration short story of my good friend RonMamita. Enjoy reading, comments appreciated 🙂

| What if my | country
| called me for | war?
| What if my | fam’ly
| called me to | stay?
| What would I | do?
| What would you | do?
Would you | listen to your heart?
| Or| would you | rather obey? |

i want you to | stay
your wife cries not | hiding her tears
she knows she could | lose you
that’s all that she | fears

and | you’ve got a right
to re | ject the honour
and | stand up for life! | | | |

| What if i | stood up for | change?| Police with (stand up for change )
| sirens, the | army | building a fence | (building a fence)
| Stand up for | change (stand up for change)
| Stand up for | change (stand up for change)

      • The evidence has revealed that John’s remarks are more representative of the U.S. military as a whole.
Did you read the statistics reported in the lower part of that post, where Military Times Survey stated: “The survey conducted online Monday and Tuesday found that about 75 percent of troops are not in favor of air strikes in response to reports that the Syrian government used chemical weapons to kill civilians in that country.”?

However, corporate controlled media probably will not be the first to share a trend of military personnel opposing the government’s wars if military personnel spoke candidly, though I will not be surprised if personnel or their families begin to share their views in alternative media and social media websites when the war drums resume.

  2. Also, I already wrote to my NY senators to let them know I oppose US involvement in Syria! I hope other Americans will join me! It’s very easy to contact your senator online, right through the form on their contact pages! That’s how our democracy is supposed to work, but everyone needs to get involved!!!

  3. Awesome Chris! I really like it! My brother was in the army and left to fight for several years, and he was rather changed when he came home. Keep fighting for change! I’d love to hear the melody and your voice! Maybe you can post a video of this song some day! 🙂

    • Thank you very much Rachel! Yes, I think war is a hard one to stand. Hope he is getting better?
That’s the plan I think but for now, we (my rock band) just started, next rehearsal is on September, 19th, really looking forward to it. Beginning in October, when holidays are over, we should manage to meet more often and then have soon some first gigs. Maybe a video from one gig will already do for a post, we’ll see 🙂 By the way, right about posting another lyrics inspired by shadowedteenager 😉

  4. Beautiful. Now I will go read the link to Ron Mamita’s page. I don’t want our country involved in Syria. We never should have been in Iraq and I don’t think we should have even invaded Afghanistan! War serves no purpose. With the exception of WWII and getting rid of Hitler and others of his ilk, it served no other purpose. Wouldn’t it be simpler, wouldn’t it be better to just assassinate leaders like that?? OH, NO we can’t assassinate another world leader…it’s against the rules. And what about killing thousands or millions of innocent people, there’s nothing wrong with that? You can kill your people with bullets, but not chemicals? Having rules for war is about the dumbest thing I can think of. Just don’t have wars, learn to effing speak to people. Understand our differences and accept that our best way to peace is peaceful demonstrations by the people.
